1 day tuition plus 1:2:1 help, critiques and evaluation. 
This workshop is aim at the beginner as well as those who are more
accomplished.
This Workshop includes:

 An easy foolproof method to paint a portrait
 Its not about a face, its about painting shapes. Big shapes, become small
shapes, small shapes add up to an image.
 Work out your shapes before you pick up a paintbrush.
 Limited colour palette – What colours to use – why are some colours staining;
which are transparent; why not to use opaque colours.
 Lets talk about tone not colour.
 Tips to get the most of your painting.

On arrival those attending will be supplied with reference material; to include
welcome sheet, tracing and photograph.

There will be discussion on cropping your photo to make a more pleasing image.

Sue will demonstrate the use of the medium and discuss composition, contrast, tonal values, shades and more so that you can make the most of the workshop.
Artists are encouraged to move around and talk to other artists feeding on each
other’s creativity.

We break for lunch at about 12.30 for you to eat your packed lunch.

Tea, coffee, biscuits, and cakes will be available throughout the day.

The day ends with a ‘show and tell’ where we come together as a group to be
amazed by the end results of our artistic labours.
A materials list will be emailed out 2 weeks prior to the workshop.
