This week I have asked people to name their paintings as they send them to me. This simple request is really making me smile so I thought I would share some of what I have been sent with you.
Last week Let’s Create started. The aim was not to create completed paintings – but to loose oneself in creativity. Everyone who is participating is loving it and has said that one they start, they can’t stop the ideas coming.
On VE Day I sat outside in the sunshine and sketched three bottles of spirit with the sun shinning through the glass.I found the scumbling fascinating, played all morning before I dared to start and paint the bottles. I became so carried away six hours just flew by and another three hours this morning in which I completed (fingers crossed ) the exercise. Thanks Sue completely out of my comfort zone but pleased with the result.
I’ve called him Caesar because he is a ‘seizer’ – Sorry! Too many cryptic crosswords! I read a book some years ago entitled ‘Jonathan Livingstone Seagull’ – but that sounded much too aristocratic for this little monkey.
This week in Let’s Create we are playing with cling film. Starting with having no preconceived idea, going on to finding something in the result of step 1, and then how do you use your cling film technique to achieve a predetermined idea – making rocks, hills, flowers. This is coming up with some lovely ideas. As they come in I am putting them onto the Let’s Create gallery so keep your eye on this.

And one I have just opened – a nice way to end a weekend
I have had the most wonderful weekend. I started with some playing with cling film and bubble wrap and then tackled the bull finch.
