‘Really enjoyed painting the landscape, it was different but rather addictive, couldn’t put it down once I had started it, will send you some photos .’
Last week the project for Let’s Paint was a landscape with a difference. We used a rigger (well at least we were supposed to) to draw the contours of the mountains. The setting was Golden Gate, in the Orange Free State, South Africa. A part of South Africa that is dear to my heart which is why I called it Homeland.
I decided to use vibrant colours that made an impact and it is more a design than a painting – yet is still recognizable as a landscape – well I think so.
Have a look a the Let’s Paint Gallery for more paintings done by talented and enthusiastic people.
