As lockdown appears to be easing I have starting thinking of ways that we could start to paint together. We are now allowed to walk with 1 other person, so I have started walking more – hence the change in the name to this blog.
OK our houses are clean and cleared of all clutter – it’s time to start getting out and about within safe distances. – and yes you can do it.
I was out and about walking footpaths I did not know when I chanced upon someone painting. Being me – I always go up and start chatting.
There are so very many places that we can safely go where we can make use of our fabulous weather, still not come into contact with anyone, get away from the 4 corners of our homes and draw/paint or just sit and reflect. (unless of course I come along….)
I have never been to the blue bell woods at Sandon so off I went – another foot adventure. I was truely amazed at what greeted my eyes.
For those who don’t know me, I love old buildings, if there is a path I want to know what is at the end, and if there is a gate, I have to go through it…….
On a walk I discovered this old ramshackle house which I think must have been a school. I am not telling where it is because when I want to go back, there will be too many people there…….
There were some stone steps which I gingerly made my way up and slowly followed the path round the side of the house – looking all the time for the ‘you are being watched’ signs.
It was an Alice in Wonderland moment.
I have been back armed with sketch book, coffee and biscuits.
I am going back again and have decided to try a new technique, so will be going armed with a much larger back pack and will be spending another lovely afternoon the shade of the large ash trees.
For those who want to know where I get to – now you know –
